OpenPET

OpenPET is open source PET electronics. By open source we do not mean that just the design will be released as open source, the openPET founders will release the design, gerber files, bill of materials, source code, firmware, software, etc. In short everything.

OpenPET is designed to be high performance and flexible and it is the founders’ goals that openPET will become the standard PET system by which other systems are measured.

OpenPET is free to researchers and OEM users alike. No restrictions will be put on its use. You can modify and add to openPET as required to meet your needs. You can use openPET to speed up your research or you can use it to speed your product development for a new PET system. It is the designers’ goals that openPET will be adopted and maintained by leading researchers and OEM users around the world and will migrate and improve release after release. OpenPET will be officially released in Spring of 2010.
