Flow Cytometry
Flow cytometry and cell sorting are used in a large number of scientific areas today. The availability of specific antibodies, directly labelled with a variety of fluorochromes has made it one of the most important tools in immunology.
Flow cytometry is a technique for counting, examining, and sorting microscopic particles suspended in a stream of fluid. It allows simultaneous multiparametric analysis of the physical and/or chemical characteristics of single cells flowing through an optical and/or electronic detection apparatus.
The detector typically used in flow cytometry range from PIN and APD Photodiode detectors to high gain PMT modules which are integrated into the system with filters and focusing optics.
sensL provides a range of single point detectors and multi-point arrays which are ideal for integration into flow cytometry systems. sensL provide these as packaged detectors or with readout electronics as required by our customers.
