Product Manager – Quality and Reliability
Location: Cork, Ireland
SensL, the world leader in the application of solid-state Silicon Photomultipliers, has an opportunity on its team for a Product Manager – Quality and Reliability. The Product Manager will oversea the production of our low light sensor products for tier 1 OEM customers. The Product Manager should have direct experience in product management – quality and reliability in the semiconductor industry. This position will interact directly with our Tier 1 OEM customers and is a senior position within SensL reporting directly to the CEO.
The Product Manager will be responsible for managing SensL's low light sensing products using our outsource semiconductor fabrication and packaging facilities. The candidate will be expected to manage our low light detector products for OEM customers and directly implement quality and reliability systems at SensL. This position will be based in Cork, Ireland with travel to our OEM customer and foundry partner locations as required.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate will:
- Have significant demonstrable semiconductor quality and reliability experience
- Ensure that all qualification records are accessible, clearly understood, auditable and summarized for presentation to our OEM customers
- Have high volume semiconductor foundry production experience
- Be able to understand and determine the relative market position for our product's field reliability compared to the client's expectation and the competitor's performance
- Be able to review and analyze all types of field failures to drive an improvement in product performance
- Review and analyse trends in our own internal rejection reports and drive change to enhance the product quality and reliability of our low light sensors
- Present our quality and reliability statistics and enhancement programs to our OEM customers in order to differentiate ourselves in the market place
- Have excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Be able to work across a wide range of technical areas
- Have strong interpersonal and team skills
- Have the ability to execute multiple tasks efficiently and effectively
- Have the desire and ability to learn new areas and tasks rapidly and to work in a changing dynamic environment
- Have a Masters/Doctorate in a relevant discipline. The ideal candidate will have 5-10 years experience in production with a history of successful Product Management – Quality and Reliability in a R&D intensive area.
