Dermot Berkery

 

Dermot Berkery joined Delta Partners in 1999 as a General Partner. He serves on the board of Seewhy Software and Sensl.  He was also previously on the board of Farran Technology (sold in 2005 to Smiths Industries) and Similarity Systems (sold in 2006 to Informatica Inc.).

Before joining Delta, he was a Senior Manager with McKinsey & Co. Having worked in McKinsey, Atlanta for 4 years, he returned to Dublin in 1995 to grow McKinsey's presence in Ireland. From 1995 to 1998, he helped Irish companies in a range of sectors to develop and pursue accelerated growth strategies. Prior to McKinsey, he was a Senior in the Corporate Financial Services Division of Arthur Andersen in Dublin and London, where he specialized in financial restructurings.

 

A graduate of University College Dublin in Commerce, he holds an MBA with distinction from the Harvard Business School and is qualified as a Chartered Accountant.

 

Dermot has written a book for entrepreneurs seeking venture capital entitled Raising Venture Capital for the Serious Entrepreneur, published by McGraw-Hill.

Frank Walsh

 

Frank has worked in investment finance in both the United States and Ireland for over 15 years. His direct experience includes investment banking, equity research, venture capital, and joint venture development. Frank has helped numerous technology companies raise both public and private capital as part of Initial Public Offerings, Secondaries, PIPE's, and Venture Fundings.

 

In addition to his international Corporate Finance experience, Frank worked directly with a number of Irish start-ups to help them maximize their business potential, drive company growth, and importantly, to do so in a manner than enhanced the company's ability to attract external investment. Finally, Frank was a founding director of two companies since his return to Ireland, both of which operated successfully and were ultimately sold.

Bryan Campbell

 

Bryan joined Sensl as CEO in April 2010. Bryan is a third generation technology entrepreneur with a 28 year track record having previously founded and managed Toucan Technology (acquired by PMC-Sierra Inc.) and Lightstorm Networks (acquired by Broadcom Corp.). Prior to Toucan Technology, Bryan worked for Digital Equipment Corporation in various engineering and management roles.

Carl Jackson

 

Carl Jackson is founder and CTO and VP of Engineering of SensL. Carl holds a B.Sc. and M.Sc. from Clemson University (USA) and a Ph.D. from the National University of Ireland, Cork in Microelectronics. His doctorate research work was carried out at the Tyndall National Institute and focused on the development of the core CMOS compatible low light sensor which SensL has commercialized. Carl has over 50 publications and patents in the area of low light sensors and Carl is a recognized leader in the area of solid-state silicon photomultiplier and photon counting technology.
